The site is informational

The content here, including service descriptions and prices, is provided to help you understand what we offer. It is a starting point for a conversation, and it does not by itself create a contract. The terms of any engagement, including scope, price, and timing, are confirmed in a separate written agreement before work begins.

No guarantee of specific outcomes

Every business is different. We describe what each service involves and what you will receive, and we bring genuine care and experience to the work, but we do not promise specific financial results from using the site or its information.

Confidentiality

Client engagements are confidential. We are glad to work under your non-disclosure agreement or to provide one.

Intellectual property

The text, design, and materials on this site belong to Finlay Consulting unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Finlay Consulting is not liable for any loss arising from use of the website or reliance on its general information. Responsibilities within a paid engagement are governed by that engagement's written agreement.

If we disagree

If a dispute comes up about this website or an engagement, we each agree to try to resolve it directly with the other first, and then through mediation in Toronto, before either of us starts a court proceeding, unless a court's urgent help is genuinely needed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
