Finlay Consulting ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

Details you send through the contact or booking form: your name, email, business name, and message.
During an engagement, the business information you give us access to, which is used only to do the work we agree on.
If you use the Find Your Ceiling tool and ask for your result by email: your email address and the numbers you entered, so the result can be sent to you and any follow-up makes sense.
Website analytics and cookies, described in the section below.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to schedule and deliver services, and to understand and improve how the site is used. We collect only what is needed for those purposes.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar tools. By continuing to use the site, you consent to the uses described here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and the site still works without them.

Google Analytics measures how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and how people arrive here. It sets cookies to tell visits apart. We see aggregate reports and do not use it to identify you by name.
HubSpot powers the booking calendar and the Find Your Ceiling tool. It sets a cookie so that if you later book a call or submit a form, your earlier visits to this site can be connected to your contact record. Until you submit something, that cookie does not identify you to us.
If we run online advertising, measurement tools from the ad platforms, such as the Meta pixel and Google Ads tags, may set cookies to measure whether the ads work and to show ads to people who have visited this site. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Google and Meta account settings.

These providers may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to the laws of those places.

Consent and email (CASL)

We will only send you commercial email if you have agreed to it, every message identifies who it is from, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How it is stored and protected

Your information is kept secure, access is limited, and it is used only for your engagement. We do not sell your information. Where we rely on trusted service providers, such as a scheduling tool or email provider, they only receive what they need to provide that service.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and we will return or delete your information on request where we are able to.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, email jonathan@finlayconsulting.ca.
